On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, the Faculty of Education and Arts hosted the 4th Student Research Conference 2024, themed Studies in Education, Language, and Literature, on the university campus. The conference focuses on six themes: contemporary issues in Arabic Language Sciences, Omani literature in the balance of criticism, language learning methods, educational curricula developed in the Sultanate of Oman, modern teaching trends, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the educational process.
Professor Nidal Al-Shamali, from Faulty of Education & Arts said, 20 research papers were accepted, and 32 students from various Omani universities and programs participated, with a number of professors supervising the students’ research. The conference sessions are arranged into four sections for discussing the submitted research.
The keynote speaker at the conference, Dr. Dawood Al-Hamdani, Dean of the Postgraduate Center, gave a paper entitled: developing learning using artificial intelligence, which intends to define the field of creating new teaching techniques. Artificial intelligence can help to build new and inventive methods of teaching and learning.
