Student Activities Department, represented by the International Student Group at Sohar University organized at the campus an International Cultures Exhibition showcasing diverse, under the patronage of Dr. Awadh Al-Maamari, Pro Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.
The exhibition included sections representing Palestinian, Egyptian, Pakistani, Indian, and Bangladeshi cultures, which reflect some of the international student community studying at Sohar University.
Aiming to introduce these cultures to the university community, each section featured talks about the unique aspects of their culture that reflect their identity. In this regard, students commented, “It’s a wonderful to see international cultures come together in one place.” Such activities serve as an opportunity for international students to engage with their Omani peers studying at the university.
It is noteworthy that Sohar University was recently ranked among the top 100 universities in the Arab region, according to the QS Arab Ranking, and has recently entered the QS World University Rankings.
