The Vice Chancellor of Sohar University, Dr. Hamdan Al-Fazari visited the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MoHE) with the aim of forging strategic partnerships with Malaysia public and private universities. The discussion will strengthened ties between Oman and Malaysia in the capacity of higher education for excellence in research, teaching and learning and community engagement.
SU’s global reach forge new partnerships in Malaysia. SU entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malaysian universities such as UMK, UTP, UMT, and UKM. SU Vice-Chancellor, Dr Hamdan Al-Fazari, discussed the 5 year strategic planning of SU to forge global partnerships on joined research projects, adjunct roles, student and staff mobility and elevating academic excellence.
Following this, the SU Vice Chancellor also paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman, The Ambassador His Excellency Sheikh Alabbas bin Ibrahim Alharthi with the purpose to update on SU engagement with Malaysian Universities in various capacities. His Excellency was briefed on SU current collaborations and SU intention to further extend and forge partnerships with other Malaysian Universities leveraging on SU strengths.
