The Faculty of Business (FB) is dedicated to imparting the best quality of training and exposure to develop the succeeding generation of business leaders with an acumen of international outlook and the potential to embrace the fast-changing business paradigm of Oman and the world at large. Thriving businesses in the future will be those that can self-reliantly and efficiently manoeuvre a path through a world marked by staunch competition, breakthrough technological advancement, social and commercial crisis. Businesses need managers who are visionary, can anticipate and act prudently in ever-changing environment, manage risks and challenges, and also identify and capitalize on opportunities for efficiency, innovation, and new business models. Businesses further need leaders who will act responsibly in giving value to collaborators.
Faculty of Business (FB) is an educational model that provides an opportunity for students to pursue their Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies in different fields of business administration. The future of FB is built upon the commitment of our faculty, students, staff, and other key stakeholders at Sohar University. FB’s influential programs have been designed to bolster the advancement of business knowledge with practical real-world applications and through industry engagement activities. FB’s aim is to prepare students for business administration positions in certain specialized fields. All programs lie in its positioning, international orientation, the practical-oriented approach, the teaching staff’s business and research experience, state-of-the-art facilities, and students’ support services and counseling opportunities.
FB equips students with market-driven knowledge in the fields of financial knowledge, business operations, information technology, commercial law and marketing. It also develops students’ skills of problem-solving ability, flexibility, business awareness and communication, which is valued by employers. FB enrol students who have the talent to benefit from the rigor study plans of our business programs and have the potential to become entrepreneurs and future business personnel to serve all industries in the Sultanate of Oman and GCC Countries.
