Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Obaid Al Saidi, who served as Minister of Health of the Sultanate of Oman from 2010 to 2022, and the Board of Trustees of Sohar University, the Alumni Relations Office at Sohar University organized the annual alumni Reunion 2024 on the evening of Sunday, February 25, 2024, in the presence of the University VC, Dr. Hamdan bin Sulaiman Al-Fazari, and a large gathering of alumni.
Dr. Hamdan Al-Fazari began the meeting by welcoming the gust and all attendees in a speech, the most important of which was: “By holding this annual event, we hope to strengthen your sense of belonging, ensure the continuity of our relationship with you after graduation, and benefit from your experiences and capabilities. We also hope that you will use this event as an occasion to interact and have scientific and practical talks with one another, as well as to recollect memories and the wonderful days of study you had at our university. ” He added: “I am confident that you, as graduates of this institution, no matter how busy you are with life’s obligations or how far away you are from the university, your hearts will stay tied to it with love and appreciation.” And that you would connect with it and contribute to its growth and development in appreciation for the knowledge and culture it has provided you.”
Alumni Mohammad Al-Shibli, Head of Training at the Amman Challenge Foundation, also spoke on behalf of his fellow alumni, reviewing his academic and career experiences.
Following that, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al-Saidi delivered a speech in which he described his leadership experience and the most significant lessons he had learnt over his remarkable career. The annual alumni Reunion 2024 is a well-known event that the university hopes to implement on an annual basis in order to increase communication between the university and graduates while also increasing their sense of belonging. Furthermore, the institution intends to make this gathering a forum for scientific and practical exchanges.
