Sohar University starts its Annual Staff Development Week on Monday, January 6, 2025, which was organized by the Human Resources Department. The event was attended by the university’s Management, along with the academic and administrative staff. This week will offer a comprehensive program aiming to enhance and train all staff members from both academic and administrative backgrounds.
The program commenced with a presentation by Dr. Hamdan Al Fazari, the Vice Chancellor of the University, who did welcome the attendees, presented the university’s achievements during the first semester, and outlined aspirations for the second academic semester. This was followed by a presentation from Dr Huda Abu Hamedha, Chair of the ISAR Committee, who provided updates on the university’s preparations for institutional accreditation. Additionally, Professor Ghassan Al-Kindi, Pro Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, discussed recent Research & Innovation Status.
The staff development week program includes a variety of training workshops and lectures designed to target all university staff, including academic, administrative, and senior management. Furthermore, the week will be concluded with a comprehensive induction program for the all-new staff joining the university.
