Biography
Prof. Nidal Al-Shamali has obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Jordan in 2004 in modern Arabic literature, a MA from Yarmouk University in 1999, and a BA in Arabic Language and Literature from Yarmouk University in 1996. He is currently working as a professor at Sohar University. His research interests are discourse analysis, the historical novel, digital literature, contemporary media discourse, and criticism. He has written more than twenty-two refereed papers and thirteen specialised books. His teaching experience in universities began in 1999 which includes bachelor’s and postgraduate studies at several Arab Universities. He has also supervised the dissertations of master’s and doctoral candidates.
