Dr Norie Allafi Ali Akeel
Biography
Norie Akeel has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering at Sohar University in Oman since 2014. He was the program coordinator for three years. He received his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical and Materials Engineering at UKM, Malaysia, in 2008 and 2013, respectively. His research areas are fracture mechanics, finite element analysis, composite materials, and engineering design. He has published several research papers in journals and conference proceedings. He also serves regularly on the organisation committee at international conferences and is a reviewer for international journals. Moreover, he reviews international publications and participates on the organising committees of international conferences. His current focus involves increasing the research output through collaboration and interaction with industry and communities.
