Students from the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology at Sohar University won third place in the Internet of Things Projects Competition, organized by Arab Open University, on Thursday ,April 25, 2024.
As students of the university participated with a project titled: An Internet of Things-based system for real-time flood monitoring and early warning in Oman, worked by student Ayoub Al-Qurini, student Zakaria Al-Balushi, student Ahmed Al-Sanani, student Salem Al-Muqbali, and the project was supervised by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Bahri from the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology.
31 teams from 17 institutions of higher education participated in the Internet of Things competition, and 35 teams from 16 different institutions of higher education participated in the Math Challenge competition. The total number of participating students was 183 students and 56 supervisors.
