Omani Theatre Association conclude Actor Preparation Workshop at Sohar University

Under the patronage of Dr. Awadh bin Ali Al-Maamari, Pro VC for Student Affairs, the Actor Preparation Workshop, organized by the Omani Theatre Association, concluded. The workshop, held from May 27 to 29, 2024, was led by Dr. Abdullah shinoon, who emphasized the enhancement of theatrical acting techniques and broadened participants’ understanding of the basics of theater work.The participation of the workshop included over thirty individuals from various higher education institutions in the Sultanate, along with several young theater enthusiasts from community theater groups. Two theatrical performances titled “The pretentious” were presented as a result of the workshop.At the closing ceremony, the patron honored all participants, and the Omani Theatre Association presented a commemorative gift to Sohar University, expressing gratitude for the excellent hospitality and hoping for continued cooperation in the future.
