Sohar University participated as a scientific partner in the Nama Hackathon / in the Wilayat of Sohar in Al Batinah North Governorate, which was held under the patronage of Her Excellency Prof. Rahma Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation. Its activities continued for three days from 7 to 9 November 2024, with the participation of 153 projects for innovative creative ideas. Professor Jabbar Yousef, from the faculty of Computing and Information Technology, participated in the scientific committee as a mentor for the participating teams in information technology and artificial intelligence innovations. His discussion with the teams revolved around implementing innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence technologies to develop existing ideas to achieve the highest levels of achievement and innovation.
