First place in Oman and second place in the Middle East and Africa region for engineering students at Sohar University

Yousef Al Busaidi of Sohar University’s Faculty of Engineering obtained first place in the Sultanate in the Speak Out for Engineering (SOFE) competition, which was organized by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, UK. It went live on the global web in March of 2024. Yousef competed against 7 higher education institutions in the Sultanate, earned first place, and was invited to the final regional competition for the Middle East and Africa area, which was held in April 2024, where he placed second. It is worth emphasizing that Sohar University supports students in local and regional competitions.
