Sohar University organized the 21st Student Week activities from March 3-7, 2024, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Bakhit bin Ahmed Al Mahri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation for Higher Education.
Dr. Saif Al Hinai, Manager of the Student Activities Department, welcomed attendees and emphasized the importance of Student Week as an annual student event. Then came a visual show of student activities and events organized by the Student Activities Department. The students Al-Moataz Al-Ghaithi, Osama Al-Naqbi, and Lubabah Al-Amriyah also gave presentations titled “We are Oman.” The Qithara group also played some music, which the audience enjoyed.
His Excellency then opened the Student Activities Exhibition, which featured several corners for student organizations, such as the Arts Exhibition, the Photography Exhibition, and the Book Exhibition, as well as the corners for the students groups. Student Week activities and events cater to all students’ interests and inclinations, including science, culture, literature, art, and sports, as well as numerous seminars and lectures that help students develop their skills and abilities. The institution is also engaged in developing students’ entrepreneurial talents.
