The Faculty of Computing and Information Technology at Sohar University arranged an educational excursion to Omantel Innovation Labs. The purpose of the trip was to gain insights into the various projects and enterprises operating under Omantel Innovation Labs.
Additionally, the excursion aimed to delve into cutting-edge technologies, such as the Internet of Things, 5G technology, cybersecurity, subscriber and customer experience technologies, big data, and artificial intelligence.
This opportunity allowed our students to transform their graduation projects and ideas related to modern digital technologies into tangible innovations. These innovations will cater to the local market, aligning with the Sultanate’s current digitization trends and contributing to Oman Vision 2040.
Furthermore, this experience fosters innovation and entrepreneurship in new and emerging technologies, in line with Omantel Innovation Labs’ focus on nurturing entrepreneurial skills among youth and fostering the growth of emerging technology companies in the Sultanate’s advanced and promising technology sectors.
