Sohar University will celebrate the graduation of its 23rd batch of students, totaling 3,397 graduates, on the evenings of Wednesday and Thursday, December 18 and 19, 2024. The ceremonies will take place at the Al Irfan Theater, Oman Convention and Exhibition Center in Muscat.
The two-day graduation event will honor graduates from different faculties: On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, students from the Faculty of Business, the Faculty of Education and Arts, the Faculty of Computing and IT, and the Faculty of Engineering—totaling 1,164 graduates—will receive their degrees under the patronage of His Excellency Abdulsalam bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority.
The second ceremony, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, will celebrate 2,233 graduates from the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Language Studies, and the Teacher Preparation Program. The event will be held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr Mahad bin Said bin Ali Baawain the Minister of Labour.
The organizing committee has announced its full readiness to host the two ceremonies in adherence to the highest standards.
The program includes various highlights, such as a speech by the University Vice Chancellor, Dr. Hamdan bin Suleiman Al Fazari, a speech by the graduates, and the recognition of top-performing students with the highest academic achievements in their respective fields.
