The Arabic Language Center for Non-Native Speakers at Sohar University welcomed a group of international students for Arabic language studies for the academic year 2024/2025. The new batch includes students from several countries, such as China, France, Uganda, Malawi, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Thailand.
Dr. Ali Al. Manei, the supervisor of the Arabic Language Center, and Ms. Sheikha Al-Mamari, the center’s coordinator, welcomed the students and explained the services the university offers to help them enjoy an enriching academic year in the Sultanate. They emphasized the importance of students acquiring authentic Omani culture and integrating with the local community.
The students expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and the facilitation of the admission process. It is worth noting that Sohar University is one of the first higher education institutions in Oman to welcome international students from various countries around the world.
