Sohar University has signed a cooperation agreement with Al Batinah Power Company and Al Suwadi Power Company to organize a student competition aimed at addressing challenges related to power generation plants. This competition will provide a unique opportunity for students to develop their scientific and practical skills by working on real projects that can contribute to improving the efficiency and sustainability of power plants in the Sultanate of Oman.
This initiative aims to raise community and academic awareness of the importance of energy and to find practical solutions to problems related to power generation plants. It also encourages a culture of innovation among university students. The Innovation and Technology Transfer Center at Sohar University seeks to enhance technology transfer and empower startups and entrepreneurs.
