Sohar University actively participated in the QS Summit for Higher Education in the Middle East and Africa 2024, hosted by the American University in the Emirate of Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, on February 27-29.
Over 60 foreign experts attended the conference, emphasizing the necessity of innovation in improving Middle Eastern education quality. Dr. Hamdan Al-Fazari, the VC of Sohar University, who attended the summit, commended: “Sohar University’s presence was distinguished in the summit’s activities, as the university is a silver sponsor” The summit discussed the role of the region’s universities in supporting higher education and its connection to scientific research and innovation, as well as encouraging students to think creatively and use technology and artificial intelligence to generate innovative talent, as well as providing practical and long-term solutions in this regard.
It is worth noting that Sohar University intends to implement everything discussed at the summit, and the university is working hard, in accordance with a well-thought-out practical plan, to encourage research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and scientific and industrial incubators.
