As part of Sohar University’s strategic plan to enhance its global profile and increase opportunities for collaboration with local and international communities, the Faculty of Engineering at Sohar University hosted a delegation of 18 students from the Faculty of Architecture at Hochschule Darmstadt in Germany. The discussions focused on ways to foster joint cooperation and strengthen academic ties between the Civil Engineering program at Sohar University and the Faculty of Architecture at Hochschule Darmstadt in German.
The meeting was attended by members of the university’s academic staff, along with civil engineering students and alumni in addition to representatives of the industrial sector who enriched the discussions and benefited from insights into German architectural practices. Following the meeting, students from both universities participated in a workshop on Building Information Management, which was complemented by a tour of the Civil Engineering laboratories at Sohar University, providing an opportunity for hands-on experience and knowledge exchange.
This visit is part of an 80-day journey around the world organized for students from the Faculty of Architecture at Hochschule Darmstadt in Germany. It underscores the commitment of both institutions to enhancing international partnerships in education in the fields of engineering and architecture.
