In a commitment to health and raising awareness about the importance of health, Sohar University, represented by the University Clinic and the Physical Education Program, organized a walkathon event titled “Walk for a Healthy Heart” in collaboration with Aster Hospital in Suhar, coinciding with World Heart Day 2024. The event took place on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, on the university campus.
The walk began in front of the Saham building, passing the Shinas building and returning to the starting point. The event also included awareness sessions highlighting the significance of walking, exercise, and maintaining heart health.
Among the participants were Dr. Hamdan Al-Fazari, Vice Chancellor of Sohar University, along with the university’s Pro VC, administrative and academic staff, and students.
